Question on input splines, 700R4?
I have a 1985 700R4 that was supposedly upgraded to the better 1987 parts. Is there anyway to tell visually? What does the upgrade normally consist of?
The input splines are 30 on the smaller shaft, and 27 on the outer sleeve.
Also the aftermarket torque converters for upgrade list both 27 splines and 30 splines. Are they speaking of the smaller shaft or the outer sleeve?
