car will not idle when cold
Hello,
I am trying to figure out what is going on with my friends 88 vette. We had overhauled the motor after we discovered there was a cracked piston. we changed pistons, mains and rod bearings, etc.
My first guess is that we had a bad vaccume leak but after a few tests it was determined no leak. I swaped the mass air flow sensor, throttle body and still no luck
car is timed at 6 degrees
Never ran into this before, does this vehicle come with a idle solenoid valve? if so where would it be located?
Kinda lost on this one.

You need to go through setting the idle speed. You will need a scanner to read the IAC (Idle Air Control) counts. The idle position TPS (throttle position sender) should read .56 volts. Set the minimum air screw for 15 -20 IAC counts. I believe that this procedure is in the technical tips.
