Which heads/cam???
Hey guys. I have a 1990 L98 Corvette with a ZF6 speed, ATI Twin Intercooled 8lb Procharger, Lingenfelter SuperRam intake, Lingenfelter Long tube headers, high flow cat, Borla exhaust, 58mm throttle body and 30lb injectors. The actual long block is completely stock...never even had a valve cover removed. I want AFR 195 heads and want to know what cam to run with it...I NEED it to be able to pass inspection with no problems, but I also want to make the most horsepower I can at the same time. Should I go with 1.5 or 1.6 roller rockers? Any danger to the stock shortblock if I do this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Gonna take a shot in the dark here. If you go with the AFR's, get the biggest chamber size you can. Lower compression=more boost. Also a two-bolt should be good up to 550HP with ARP studs. Definetly use studs on the heads too. What are you doing for computer control now? That is going to have alot of influence on what cam you can use. The factory L98 cam is pretty tame. I would be tempted if I were you to just shoot an email to Comp Cams and see what they recomend. Also, on the 1.5 vs 1.6 rockers, get the cam you need with 1.5 rockers. If later on you want more lift, you can always switch to the 1.6 rockers. The valvetrain geometry works a little better with the 1.5 rockers. JMHO Good luck!
