I completely removed that valve assembly taped the connectors together, plugged the vaccum line, and put the connectors where they wouldn't be seen.

If you want things to look stock then just leave everything plugged in. It won't hurt anything. They've been that way all these years without problems...
Now if you're going to rip everything out, that's another story. Of course you won't be able to sell the car to someone in a smog check state.
Personally I can't see the point of gutting the smog pump. It only takes a few horsepower to run. You won't be able to tell the difference and it helps the rear cat work.
Picked up the smaller belt and got the AC delete pulley (have to save up for next year to convert to 134a). All set to start the weekend project tomorrow.
Not going to worry about selling the 84. I honestly plan on keeping it for a long time.
