Default Front Drag Shocks

....... Whose drag shocks are you racers using ? ... Seems there are none actually listed for C4 vettes ......... I found a Competition Engineering adjustable that I think will fit ........ But I just wanted to touch base with those of you who have experience with shocks that not only fit but work as well ! ............ Thanks , Bob .....................

I've been running the same Competition Engineering shocks set on 90/10 for the past number of years. I ran them on the street and now with them strip only. I can't remember the length, just measure the travel of your original shocks. I think I used the ones for a 70's Camaro.

A drag shock is not going to give you great handling on the street. I used to remove the shock and return them to the 50/50 setting between races, but with the stiff springs of an 84, it didn't make that much difference and I just left them on the 90/10 setting. They help transfer weight to the rear at the track along with disconnecting the front sway bar. Ran like that on the street too and it was fine. Just don't try an autocross.

QA1 have changed their part #
Have to check my paperwork but IIRC 10" -15" travel so # TR502 would be current replacement;stud / T bar mount
IIRC early cars were lower ( 9" - 14" ?) so # TR505 would be correct for them?

Edit
Have #TR511 listed as single adjustable front for C4's
http://www.qa1.net/qa1_motorsports/d.../r-series.html

#TD511 as double adjustable front

i like Competition Engineering's prices !
I hope this is not an example of "You get what you paid" here
1/2" lower would be cool ! Is adjusting them a hard task ?
Thanks guys !

C2610 front only ? what about rear ?

you can loosen the A arms slightly to help the front end get unbound too.
I wouldnt leave it like that on the street though.
Used to run 90/10s way back on another car. Drove fine but panic stops on skinnies will make you religious. Never drove it in the rain
They work though

You lock them up once, and it's time for a new set of skinnies. The Mickey Thompsons that I use come with about 3/32 of tread. There is a reason the aren't DOT approved.
