New Guages 75% complete
I ended up keeping the 3 1/8 inch tach, because I found a place for it.
What's left to do, I need to slightly enlarge the mouth to the vent, because the tach barely doesn't fit. I also need to direct the air away from the guages and towards the right side vent. Lastly, I need to rig up some sheet metal so the oil pressure guage looks a little more thought out, than just something someone stuck in.
The pics didn't turn out too well, I'll try to get better shots tomorrow. They are both AutoMeter Old Tyme style. The big one is a 7K tach, the little one is oil pressure.
Wiring was pretty simple, power is from the radio, ground is from an assortment of places(never share a tach ground, I've found that out the hard way). The lights are on a switch with my other two guages(trans temp, a/f ratio). So far I have about four hours into the whole guage project.
