Power Steering problem (friend)
I know we have alot of knowledgeable folks on this forum and a friend of mine has a question....he is having a problem with his power steering.For some reason when he turns the steering wheel to the left it stiffins up, almost like he has no power steering but not when he turns right...he flushed the power steering fluid and refilled with new fluid but no fix...do you think it can be the power steering pump, he claims to here a hissing from behind the dash...by the way its not a Vett...thanks in advance for any replies...go gettum boys and girls :smash: :cheers: :cool:

I had a rack die in a similiar fasion. I was told the valves on that side of the rack had siezed. As for the hissing, that may be the pump itself straining trying to force the fluid through that side of the rack. That's my .02 worth. :seeya
