Default Oxygen Sensor Information Needed

I am converting my 85 w/Hooker 2149s to a heated Oxy Sensor. I bought an Oxy sensor for 94 Vette, but it has four wires. Can anyone give me the schematic and pinout of this sensor, or did I screw up choosing this particular one? It's returnable if there is a better choice.

Tnx. Tom

The 4 wire setup is 2 seperate circuits. 2 wires for the heater, 2 for the O2 sensor. A typical 3 wire O2 sensor shares the grounds for the heater and sensor. A single wire O2 sensor uses the shell for gnd.

The Bosch P# for the 3 wire unit is : 14077

Bosch 4 wire O2 sensor: Gray=Gnd, Blk=O2 signal. (2)White=heating element (2.5Ohms) Warm up time 1-4 min 6.5Amps

It is imperative that you DO NOT ground the O2 sensor wire. This will KILL your O2 sensor.
BTW: Don't use a Ohm meter on the O2 side, you will damage it.

How's the Lake doing? Bike week just around the corner!

Default Thanks ZylaRace

Thanks for the info. Just what I need.

This summer is coming in just great. There is a little local up-tightedness about the Hell's Angels presence during bike week this year. The local authorities won't issue vendors' permits to them this year and they are in court contesting it. I grew up here, just outside the entrance of the old county recreation area where they raced from the 20s until the mid 60s so it's just a nice adrenalin kick for me to see and hear the bikes. Nothing like 200 to 300 thousand bikers in your town, and most of them on American Iron . :flag:

Sounds like you have been up here?

Tom,
I just bought the exact same O2 sensor; I looked up the schematic in one of the Chevy manuals we have at work and it said that one wire went to power, one to ground, one to O2 low and one to O2 signal
I'm glad that someone posted in English; I got exasperated so I put the old one-wire back in temporarily....I've been cruising around in open loop for a week now.
Once I have a spare minute, I can wire the damn thing up the way its supposed to be!!
Has the Supreme Court ruled on the Hell's Angels case yet????
I still have to make it over to your house; I've been too busy to tie my own shoes, and the one chance I had (last week) I figured you were at the Cruise-In
I'll run into you sooner than later; I owe you a case of Sam Adams!!!!
