Great, pulling mine sometime soon , burned 3-4 again !
drag racing killed mine , but i need to find the reason
what's the correct sprag position ?

When the first rebuild was not making enough pressure to lock the converter, it was a blast to drive as the engine could stay in the power band longer. I'm sure the trans would not have lasted very long....

First pump was just a bad overhaul.
The second unit was built for a 87 & up with the aux pressure line.

My suggestion is to use cheap fluid when initial testing.
Once your confident the trans is good to go, filler up with the good stuff.

I threw away almost $150 for the first build. Then used WalMart fluid for the next two builds.
If this build is solid I'll dump the WM stuff and fill with the good stuff in a few weeks.

What kind of converter are you using, I used to have TCI lockups, three transmissions later and finding the right people to rebuild it. The TCI converter was sluffing off clutch material, wiping out the trans. You get what you pay for, JUNK!! Finally got smart, purchased a Precision, end of problems, I could go on, but be careful which converter you use.
