Rough idle

Rough idle
I had a check engine light. Had it checked out, random misfire. My mechanic told me a tune-up. ( optispark, plugs,and wires would perk it right up.
) Before the tuneup It would idle rough. for awhile at stop signs etc. until it warmed up a few miles or 10 minutes of driving. After the tuneup. It is really rough idle. But still clears up after the same time period. I wonder if this is a normal issue for this year and engine? Or does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you. Just realized this was inserted in the zr1 forum sorry meant it for general. Newbie, not sure how to move it.

Sorry 1996 lt1 engine. Yes check engine light comes on immediately. Sometimes it will blink. I have read other threads about tps. I plan on checking/ replacing it. I'm really frustrated 400 dollars in parts 700 in labor and the problem is seemingly worse. Thanks for any help

i just checked stored codes. still getting random misfire code. Getting a
P0443 - Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit. The symptoms are exactly what i am experiencing. now i just need to determine which part/hose/circuit it is without replacing unnecessary parts. any suggestions?
