I had one done just a few weeks ago.... If it is directly in the line of sight of the driver they may not do it because their is a blemish on the windshield where they fill it....
Also, most insurance companies will cover the full cost of the chip repair (If you have glass coverage that is).
Give it a shot..... I'm happy with mine......

I have had this done 3 or 4 times on different cars. It is a very good way to save money and get a good fix. The spot will just vanish from view or become so small that it will not be a problem. If it just happened you should put some black electrical tape over the spot to keep it dry until you can get it repaired. That is what I have been told by the repair people in the past. Cost is about $50 and should be covered in full.
