I have it with my set up; SPEC stage II, alum. Fidanza FW; but it is a huge improvement over the RAM puck style disc I had prior.....the SPEC II is very tolerable; nothing eratic; will it be like the OE dual mass set up? NO. but very good balance between performance and driveabity; I would replace this unit with another one...the solid heavier one piece FW might be better for chatter than the alum. piece too that I run.
On rare occasions, I have very slight clutch chatter when pulling away in first gear. More often it occurs in reverse, but I don't spend a lot of time backing up, so it doesn't bother me much. The engagement of the Stage 2 in my car, with the extra-mass steel single-mass flywheel, isn't quite as smooth as the stock clutch was with the DM flywheel, but it's plenty civilized enough to satisfy me.
It's important to remember that clutch chatter can be caused by many things that have nothing to do with the quality of manufacture of the clutch itself. Contaminants on the friction surfaces (oil leaks, greasy fingerprints, etc), disc warpage caused by mishandling the gearbox while installing the transmission, a worn pilot bushing, etc can all be huge contributors to clutch chatter. Don't be too quick to blame the manufacturer if chatter occurs. Careless installation can cause big problems, too.
Using an LT1 style Centerforce Fw and Dual Friction setup and I love it. Id buy another tomorrow
Good clamping power , no chatter not grabby stock type pedal
Heavy billet fw eases into gear without having to rev it
Like the fact they store energy, the motor doesnt bog down and shift recovery is fantastic.
Think some put "too much clutch' in a driver type car then get upset it behaves like a race clutch perhaps Im assuming.
