Default c4 with a 327

Hello

I have 1978 C4 with the original 350 in it. 116k miles or there abouts. Wondering if rebuilding my 350 is better than putting in a new 350 or 327. Is there any advantages to putting in a 327 versus a 350? Or rebuilding the 350

ok...lessee, a 78 c4 and you want to swap in a 327, I think it would be great.

Benefit of Doubt?? 1987???

Depending on the 327 it could be inspiring or a bigger pig than the tired 350?

There is no advantage putting a 327 in over a 350.
Less torque less power. Maybe gain 1-2 mpg thats it.

Default c4 327 or 350

Uh duh to me lol. Yeah, I was tired from 3rd shift. NOT a c4, but a c3. C4=1984. Thank you for the replies. It is a 1978 Cheverolet Corvette. Not C4, but a c3. My apologies for my lack of clarity. Thank you for the clear answer on why putting a 327 in is not a good idea. Hope I straightened myself out there.

There is no advantage in going to a 327. If you are looking at new or rebuilding your existing engine, consider going with a stroker kit. (383) The cost is very little more then the 350 will be, assuming you need crank, rods, and pistons. That being said, consider finding a newer block to start with, I think 87 and up are all set up for a roller cam. There are a lot of advantages to using a roller cam. Good luck with your motor
