Fuel Filter or Fuel Gauge
My wife went out for a drive last night. The fuel gauge had just gotten to RESERVE when the car started sputtering. She parked it and called me up. I brought a gas can and put all it had in it (not much) into the tank. It started and sputtered to the nearest filling station. I filled it up and no more sputtering. I noticed there is a very slight hesitation when I step on the gas.
Is this a dirty fuel filter, a fuel gauge that's not telling the complete truth or signs of something else?
By the way, the car is a 93 LT1.

You may have an unreliable gage or sending unit and once you got towards the bottom of the tank it may have picked up some impurities. Change the filter, it’s cheap for piece of mind.
