Default Seat track questions

I have a 94 coupe with standard power D & P seats. My passenger seat moves front to rear but rear tilt no longer works, front tilt does. I bought a couple of seat tracks of craigslist for $50. Both work front to rear and the rear tilt works. On one, the front tilt is very slow to work (but only when I knock my knuckles on it), the other won't work at all. On both when I click the front tilt on both, the courtesy lights dim.

Quesiton is, how hard or is it possible to take the three apart and make one good unit?

I have similar problms and after seaching I found the gear setup inside the metal box is mostly plastic which breaks. You can send them out for repair...corvette central, the last detail etc, which means someone
has the parts you need...but I can't find them. I think you'll find pix somewhere in the search.

Let us know if you find the gear assembly

I was hoping to be able to find out if I could tear them down myself instead of spending the extra money. I might tear down my old one to see what it looks like in there.

Drilling the rivets is the hardest part...there are people rebuilding. Perhaps an upholstry shop MIGHT have a lead on track rebuild kits...
