I'm just getting started on my intake change project. This intake is not seen very often and I think it may be worth a shot. It is the Edelbrock Pro Flo XT and I really liked the look of it so it was my choice. If it performs as good as it looks, (IMO) then it will be worth every penny of it's $439. price tag. This is just for the manifold, the throttle body and fuel rails are extra but I have just over $800. in all three pieces which is usually what a used superram goes for plus, Vette magazine did a test on it and got 20 more hp over the superram. Here are some pics of it as I just put it on.

god that is beautiful! let us know if you have any hood clearance issues, im looking in to this for my '89 (or HSR or miniram)
cant wait for some results!
I have about 1/4 to 3/8 inch clearance and with the way the hood is curved in that area I don't think flex will even bother it. My throttle body is a polished piece from Summit, I have heard there COULD be slight grinding to do to a stock ls tb. Please be patient I still have a lot of pricy items to get before it will be running again, probably early to mid spring. I agree, I can't wait to see what it does for performance.
Sorry Torch Red, I left out the size of the tb. I opted for an 80mm but the same tb is available in 85mm

It was forum member USAsonlyway who did the swap on his car in the Vette article. He really enjoys it, hopefully he sees this. This intake was one of my options looking for an intake, but I settled on the single plane.

That article was a major reason I went with this intake. I am really pumped about seeing the results.
I wish this was out. when I purchased my HSR.. its a great intake from what I have read.. its a cross LT1 & HSR base, LT1 plenum, LS TB
This intake will most likely need more initial timing.. just like the HSR just starts to wake up @ 10* 12- 14 * hold on
I would get this combo tuned if I were you. Someone that has worked with the pro flow. To take full advantage. or learn & burn yourself is the best way. it takes a lot of log time to dial properly. keep us posted. Looks great

In all the years I've never even heard of that intake let alone see it on an L98.
What is its power range supposed to be?
It's fairly new. I tell you what its great to see a new product that fits under out hood. From what I understand you could pick up a used LS TB and use it with the Pro Flo making it an ever cheaper option.

I'm going to get a PROM from PCMforless Which will be according to my mods, then I will get it dynoed locally & have PCM tweak it if it needs it.
Thanks to all you guys, I'm glad you like the setup and I hope I can give very favorable reviews on it.
