steering column problem.........Help !!
On my wife's 87, the tilt function of the steering column failed. When she pulled the lever the column fell into her lap. The steering wheel will not spring back up. It also caused the turn signals and the flashers to be inop. I found blown fuses that solved those problems, but what failed in the column??? :confused:

My 85 coupe has a similar problem but the steering wheel does not fall down, it just won't go back up under spring pressure; you have to push it up yourself. I have been told by my local Colorado Springs Vette Shop that it is a royal P.I.T.A. to replace that spring so I'm living with it. Everything else related to the column works fine.
