Hmmm, not sure but that 160 t-stat could be a real conversation starter around here....

Need to get it to the track make a bunch of runs to get the feel for things. Dont be surprised if your first 1/2 dozen runs dont turn out like youd think. Playing with someone on the street and the track are two totally different things. Evens the playing field out.

Last time I went to the track, I was running 275 Faulkins. Bone stock
LT4. 13.5 @ 107 mph. Spun all through 1st and 2nd, almost sideways for a second. More controlled launches resulted in higher e.t.'s but trap speeds of 108 & 109. I was a rookie w/ the 6spd then. Haven't been back to the track since. Closed KCIR and Topeka seems a bit of a haul. As in I would hate to pay that tow bill if something broke.

$25 is a lot cheaper than what happens when youre caught running on the street.

For the amount of fun youll have thats cheap.

just go, used to drive almost 2 hrs ea way to race the Z then go back home. h.

With 363chp and say 3,400 lb your potential, in good air, is low 12s at 110mph.

Is the A4 stock, i.e. shift kit and/or hi-stall TC??

In any case, arrive with 1/3 tank of fuel, drop rear inflation to 30psi.

If you don't have a fan switch or reprogrammed ECM, open the small connector in the A/C pressure line to bring on the main fan.

Avoid the water box, do a short dry hop before pre-staging, When staging, line up in the dark rubber tracks of prior slick tire cars.

When you launch, on the 3rd yellow roll into the throttle to get a good hook. Mash it and you will go up in smoke.

Have fun and enjoy; playing at the strip will be a whole new experience and can become addictive...

hahaha thanks for the advice. Sometimes my dash doesnt work(GO FIGURE), a ground or something, but i usually launch at a stage before the tires feel like breaking loose..and the previous owner said the tranny was rebuilt i believe. Has a super solid positive shift. Idk how long ago and whether or not it has a shift kit. I want a stall in her. And my fan is hooked to an ignition switch cause its hot here in kansas and it needs all the coolin it can get. Them vettes tend to run hot.

To your original question..... High 12s as your car sits, depending on your torque converter.

Come on out to HPT. I would love to see some more C4 brothers come out. The staff at HPT is very welcoming and will help out the new faces. You still have time this season to hit some test and tunes. I bet after a couple of those you will get the competition bug and come out for an E.T. bracket race. The last race of the season is a two day race 10/27 and 10/28. The Trophy class is a perfect place to get started, foot brake and 12.0 sec. fastest dial.

P.S. RIP KCIR. Don't get me started on that subject.

I would love to get out there. Probably have to wait till spring though. My clutch, though not acting up yet, is old. Want to address that before flirting with the red light on the bottom of the tree.

Yeah, the whole KCIR thing is...well...you know. I am would really love to see a track of HPT quality out at the Legends near the Speedway. Suprised it's not in the works yet. If I win the lottery, I'll build one.

Just can't replace the feeling of full on acceleration on a sanctioned drag strip.

What are the specs on the cam? Your build sounds pretty similar to the one I just finished up on my 91. Here's my thread from the first time at the track.

Especially when she dead hooks on launch and you just feel "you got it this pass"...
