Okay guys need an opinion, I had a recent rebuild and had brand new crane lifters installed now abotu 600 miles they appear to be making a lot of noise, what could be the cause? any Ideas? :confused: I really don't feel like tearing this thing apart again :cry

 

Is it the lifters or a rocker that needs adjustment? I had to adjust my new comp cam pro magnum rockers a couple of times before I finally got it right.

 

Scorp, yea i put the pro magnums on as well, had them adjusted twice already, but i'm pretty sure it is the lifters. also went with the Accel fuel injectors and heard they may be the problem, they are supposed to be loud so they come off tommorrow for the FMS #24s.

 

Yeah those fuel injectors can be pretty darn loud. I re-adjusted my valves twice with the engine off, and finally did it saturday with it running and got it right. I started with exhaust #2 and backed it off until it was noticeably clacking, then turned the nut back on until it JUST went away, and sloooowly turned it 1/2 turn more and locked down. I then did all the rest front to back.
