Default SHOCKing Question...

What type of shocks would be well...the best to put into my vette? I desperately need them, so I'm looking for suggestions. So far I've heard KYB are great shocks, Bilstein i've heard plenty of times, and the all too expensive Edelbrock. So which is it guys? Any suggestions at all would be much appreciated.
Thanks :chevy

Go with KYBs and you'll lose teeth fillings sooner or later. I traded my KYBs for some softer shocks MAD (or Ecklers) was offering at the time. C4s (especially early ones) have a very stiff sport suspension. Z51s even harsher.

If you are trying to achieve a firmer ride and better cornering, buy the Bilsteins. They are a good buy! Otherwise, if it is ride quality that you are going for, buy a cheaper and softer riding shock. There are many around for you to select from. You can even find them in designer colors.. :D

kyb's work real well, and are priced right, compared to the rest, i put on a new set 2k miles ago, the old ones were bilsteins and were leaking, the kyb's raised the car 1 inch, i guess i badly needed replacements, hope you find what you like , stiff is better ! at least thats what the girls say! :D

I replaced the original Bilsteins with KYB's. They are quite nice. Not harsh at all and handle very well. Besides, you can't beat the price. Good option IMHO.
