Default Horn Button Extremely Sensitive

For the last few weeks the horn button on my 96 has become very touchy. Just touching a finget to the steering whell cover is enough to set it off. You can also manage to set it off if you use the steering wheel as a crutch to get into or out of the car.

I'm going to pull the cover off and take a look, but is it enough to just pull the "Air Bag" fuse, then pull the Air Bag?

Apparently so, or maybe God protects children and idiots. Pulled the fuse, then the bag. Horn switches were in pieces. 6.75 later it is as good as new...

good to hear everything went OK. next time i would also pull the airbag connector under the dash (unless that's what you meant by "pulling the bag"). i would even go as far as yanking the battery before the fuse or the connector.

call me a wuss, but i am overly cautious around explosives.
