Default Where is 'Low Coolant Sensor'?

On my '89, my coolant is fine so I suspect the sensor. There is a sensor that reads on my dash with a red light - 'Low Coolant'. This is separate from the temp sensor. Does anyone know where it is?

...or, if it's not what I would guess, then what would I look at next.

Thanks,

barrypaul

It's on the radiator, cap side. You will see the wire.

Bet ya it's good!

I agree with Pete, it is in the radiator.

But, make sure there is no air in the system. That is the #1 cause of the low coolant light.

The sensor is on the cap side of the radiator right below the transmission line.

I agree with Vic, air in the system is a major cause of low coolant signals....

What is the status of the coolant level in the radiator and overflow when the engine is cold? When it is hot?

The overflow is at the full (hot or cold level) marker. I haven't checked the radiator since he temp gauge reads nominal.

I'll check out this 'air' problem.

thanks,
