So I just picked up my car on Saturday and it's an utter blast (gotta love the 6 speed :D ) But yesterday I was trying to track down a cooling fan problem (they won't turn on) and my manual told me to find the diagnostics plug and jump two connectors. No problem, except that the plug is no-where to be found!!
I think it is supposed to be on the bottom of the drivers dash right near the center console. But its not there, I can't find it anywhere!! Any ideas?
Re: just got my car, something missing! (Jay Axson)
Mine was stuffed up into the inside of the knee bolster. I had to drop the lower trim piece and fish around.
I found it easier to work in the footwell when I pulled both courtesy light fuses - "CTSY". After I killed the footwell ctsy light, I was able to work down there with a flashlight with no glare in my eyes.

Hi,
I have a 1990 ZF 6 speed Coupe and my ALDL connector is located right under the dash, just below the steering wheel or so. It is pressed right up against the dash so bend down to see if it there. Perhaps someone did shove it up into the dash, but that is where the connector is supposed to be.
Enjoy your '90, they are fun when the work (I have had some grief with mine (plugged cats and now still more Injector problems - being fixed this week).

90 ZF6 Black Coupe, with no Pre-cats, 180 deg Thermostat, AFPR (but set at 41 psi for now), air foil (yes, kinda useless) and standard calpak after worrying that Hypertech chip helped do in my injectors!!!
