please help rear impact
had a rear impact with my 85 targa it hit so hard broke steering column with my body , now turn key on get no dash n no starter headlights etc work but nothing else are there rear impact sensors or something in steering column i should be tackling any help would be awesome thank you

No sensors of that kind back then. Sounds like you need to have the car thoroughly checked over. Make sure the frame hasn't been bent.
You can probably just replace the steering column with a known good one.

The ignition switch pushes a rod on the steering column to a switch, if that had moved slightly you wont be able to start the car. the switch is under the dash on top of your column, easy to find loosen the screws and side it up or down slightly.
Hope she is not badly damaged and repairable
