94 conflicting info on Code
1) answer I got is its low brake fluid level
2) TCC solenoid voltage Hi
So which is it?
thanks
Trans codes I believe go from 82 to 84 skipping 83.
Where did you find the TCC reference?
tech.corvettecentral.com/2011/01/c4-diagnostic-trouble-codes/
700R4 which is in my 84 doesn't have a 83 code. I know in all my searches of threads users say brake, but whenver I look it up the tech sections say TCC
71 - A/C evaporator temp sensor circuit
72 - VSS loss
73 - Pressure control solenoid circuit, current error
74 - TCS circuit low
75 - Transmission system voltage low
77 - Cooling fan relay control circuit
79 - Transmission fluid overtemp
80 - Transmission component slipping
81 - Transmission 2-3 shift solenoid circuit
82 - Transmission 1-2 shift solenoid circuit
83 - (M6) Reverse inhibit system
84 - (A4) Transmission 3-2 control solenoid circuit
84 - (M6) Skip shift solenoid circuit
85 - Transmission TCC stuck "on"
90 -Transmission TCC solenoid circuit
91 - Skip shift lamp circuit
97 - VSS output circuit
Here's OBD1 for 94F body's 4L60e - I don't see an 83 there for an A4 either.

I put a bit of brake fluid in and I'll have to see if that code comes back.
You were helping me in the other thread as well. Spoke to Chris at Petris today and he gave me a few more ideas to check that could be causing the rough running.
Cleaned out the EGR, went thru and also cleaned all the wiring harness connectors.
I also have a H65 so I have to change the O2 sensors.
Wife told me tonight that it looses more power when in OD vs Drive. I think for this reason the H83 is more TCC related than brake fluid
Looks like theres a couple of things going on with it.

1994 no PWM 4L60E - 1995 PWM added and I'd guess that would explain the DTC 83 doesn't appear until 1995 as VIN "specific"! The sources you mentioned have all codes in "ONE PILE" for all C4's!
here's a simple explanation all in one document 1st page:

Well she drove it to work for a total of 1.5 hours of drive time. Pulled codes on it tonight and nothin has come back yet.
The new icm should be here tomorrow to see if that helps the rough running condition. Of course she's still complaining that the car doesn't have enough power in OD vs D..

But that will have to wait and may be part of the rough running problem
