Is there a GM stamp on the inside of ZR1 wheels? If not how do you tell if they are replicas or GM?
Yes there's production information on all the GM wheels. The easiest identifier is a JWL" casting on the outside painted surface centered in the second window clock-wise from the valve stem.
You can see it's location in this image. You can't read it in this one but it's on "ALL"!!! There's various information on the "back-sides" depending on size and color.
there are 8.5 wide (56mm) (silver and black), 9.5 wide (56mm) (silver & black), 11" (36mm silver) & (50mm black)
That is the symbol for Enkei ;the Japanese maker of the larger OEM C4 rims
Bottom of page
They also made the 16" x 9.5" Z51 rims ; the base 8.5" rims were made in USA
The question was how to identify what is commonly called/known as a ZR-1 wheel which I've always been led to believe is the 5 spoke/A mold on the '94 - '95MY ZR-1, the '96MY GS and CE only. Is that correct?
The JWL is a "Japanese Wheel Standard" logo that is found on the GM original wheels and no other aftermarket replica wheels.
Every wheel manufactured in Japan has to meet the JWL standard. Everyone!
Enkei has NOTHING to do with the ZR-1/A-mold wheel.

There was also the sawblade version fitted to earlier ZR1's

Just a side note that the 17"x9" factory ZR1 style that was used on the Camaro SS look the same, but mine are cast not with the "JWL" lettering, but "GM" lettering.

NOT Corvette wheels ! And you didn't need to remove them and try to get through all the brake dust to find information that would have confirmed they weren't Corvette wheels anyway! Your hands are still clean!
And they're called "saw-blades" not "ZR-1" wheels!
My mistake
I was working on a wheel off a factory ZR1 being a ZR1 wheel ;taking into account the unique 11" rear with 38mm offset
that only fits ( correctly ) a ZR1 regardless of style

What are you talking about?
I said they weren't Corvette wheels. I said they were Camaro SS wheels.
I didn't get through any brake dust. The "GM" letters are cast on the front the same as the "JWL" letters are on the ones you pictured.
Yes my hands are still clean, but what is your point?
