Default '89 issues

Well, I've been spending all my "car time" lately on my newly aquired '87 accord (to keep the miles off the 'vette), and I've been neglecting the pride and joy.......so I need help w/ some issues.....
1.) Coolant running hot.....I've been reading the threads and archives, and I'm going to flush it and clean it, hopefully that'll work.....
2.) My 6 speed gear oil has been changed, but the tranny whines at all speeds.......no clicking or grinding (thankfully), but is this noise normal?
3.) Electric mirrors don't work.....any suggestions where to begin?
4.) Lumbar support doesn't. Is there much stuff in the archives about this? what topic should I search for?
Thanks all.....

The noise from your 6 speed is normal. I relate my 89s' 1st gear to a rock crusher. Once I understood that it was loud due to its design, I dont even notice anymore. 89 was the first year of the ZF 6 speed and from what I'm told one of the strongest. Due to customer complaints the gearing inside was reworked to provide quieter operation. As for the mirror, fuse, check the connector behind the door panel for a solid clean connection, and I would also pke around the switch. My lumbar has never worked , so I can't help you much there. I know Mid America among others have a rebuild kit. I'm sure someone here has repaired these and can guide you on that repair
