Idle rough at stop sign
I have a 1995 with a Vortec supercharger. Just got finished with:
1. New opti (I am an expert at this repair now)
2. New water pump
3. New wires
4. New Plugs
5. New 02 sensors
At a light or stop sign the car does not idle the best - I put in neutral and it smooths out (but not like my 1999 BMW).
When I took to Ellis Groo at Speed Secrets here in Snohomish Wa. He said when he puts a supercharger in a car he normally changes transmission (I quote "thats alot of stuff your running off of the engine") to a more heavy duty type (he told the name, but I can't remember what I had for breakfast let alone a transmission number)
So here is my question - could this be true? The car has never really idled the best - but it is no worse than before I did all the work. Once the car is going it works dandy.
The reason I did all the work was the water pump oil seal died and leaked oil all over opti yada, yada - you guys kno the drill. Anyway any ideas?
By the way if you guys need a hand putting in an opti I am your man -
