1989 top date

I am trying to find out if my convertible top on my 89 is original. I know most stuff was date coded , does anyone know how to decode the dates on the tops? thanks

Put up snapshots - there's no continuity to date codes but knowing it's an '89MY should help. Build date of car month/year?

where do I find the build date on a C4 as I am a C4 virgin, always had C3s this is my first C4.

I looked on my door last night and the ink is so faded that I could not make out the date on the door. any other place it would have a date?

Is there a tag on the material of the top or maybe on the back curtain in the top? We won't worry about the production date.

I think the date on the door is 2-89. the code on this top is F 00.
