Front spindles
spindles are different. Steering geoometry changed 88 up. thats why the wheel offset changed...to compensate for the different spindle location.
Wheel offset is 18mm different. You need a 3/4" spacer/adaptor to make the difference up. Most just go to 1" to fill the wheel well. 3/4 front, 1" rears. Adaptors are not bad...$60 a pair for good billet alum.
Thats IF you are going to 17 or 18" stock Corvette wheels...there are plenty of aftermarket wheels cast with the 84-87 offset of 32 or 38mm offset.
Stock Corvette 17" went to 56mm.
You don't have to trade spindles to add big brakes...there are adaptor brackets that fit the j55 or zo6 caliper to the 87 spindle...then all you have to be concerned with is the fitment of the caliper inside the wheel....sawblades are F'n close! I mean paper thin clearence between wheel and caliper. Your adaptor/spacers help push the wheel off the spindle a bit more so that helps since the inside of the wheel is a semi taper.

I have the 17" ZR1 replica A-molds on it now, I may just break down and buy the adaptors
When I was building my last upgrade I laid the rotors with caliper inside a wheel on the floor and was shocked at how tight it was...not much wiggle room. Wheel has to go straight in onto the studs. No room to wiggle it to fit or find the studs..
Search EZaccessory for the spacer/adaptors. They sell on fleabay and have a website. Get the "concentric" style also...they are easier to fit on the hub and stay centered.
