"Lowering your Rear for Dummies" procedure please?
I have a lowering kit and camber brace on the way. I want to do it safely and correctly. I read the MAD directions and they basically reference the GM manual. I read that and it said to use a spring tensioner which I don't have. I've also read that others have just used a jack and stands. Please tell me step by step how I can lower the rear with the Jack properly to change the bolts.
Second, is the front to much to do for one person with basic skills and tools? If not, how difficult is it to do?

I just did mine last week. It was the easiest thing I ever did to a car. The kit came with longer bolts and bushings. I jacked up the car and removed the right wheel. I used a second small floor jack and carefully placed it under the end of the spring just inside the bolt hole. My spring has a metal sleeve with a lip that was perfect to place the jack on. Jack it up slowly to relieve the tension on the bolt and thats it! Remove the old bolts an install the new ones. The further you tighten the nuts higher the car will sit. I lowered mine over an inch. Good luck.

Thanks man. I'm also going to get it a wheel alignment when completed. You may want to also if you haven't. I've heard it can get knocked way out of wack when lowering. Are you going to try the front also?

You might not even need to jack the car up. Just stick the floor jack in from the back, place it under the inside edge of the metal cup on the spring. Give it 1 or 2 pumps to take the pressure off the bolt, then just swap the bolts. Piece of cake...
