Default Straight plug heads
I have a 1990 corvette with a 383 in it. I have a set of old 1986 heads with straight plugs. Will these work with me stock manifolds? I know it's going 'backwards' but this is for the time being since I can't afford after market heads as soon as I was hoping because some other stuff came up. My biggest problem is pinging so I have to baby it all the time...
Ill be using the aluminum heads on a 68 bel air since with them my compression is too high!

I THINK those Alum. heads have 58 cc chambers and they do NOT do well with high compression.

Yes they are 58cc and they seem to hate high compression...

Anyone know if I can use straight plug heads?
Did the 86 vette use them?

Straight plug heads should work just fine with stock manifolds. Headers can be a problem.

Yes...86 cast iron is a straight plug head.

Cool I was actually looking at yours already I just wanted to make 100% sure. Ill be putting then on soonish just don't want to deal with pinging!!
