Whenever I start the car cold, the idle sits around 1400 in park, and around 1000 in drive. The idle feels fine, but just a little high. However, after I drive a few minutes, the idle continually keeps falling. Eventually, I have to keep my foot on the gas at a stop light to keep it from stalling. Every once in a while, the car seems to burp. The idle dips down low, but shoots back up to the original position.
When all of this is happening, acceleration feels fine. If I am cruising and let off the gas, the revs stay up until I touch the brake. The revs fall fast whenever I touch the brake. Also, every once in a while, I hear a slight hissing noise from the pax side after I turn off the car, but only for about 10 seconds tops. There are no codes.
Re: Idle is messed up again, please help (vettes rule)
I have to investigate a rough/high idle this weekend myself, but now that you mention it I have noticed that "breathing" behind the crash pad as well. I have no idea what it is. I have my entire front dash off right now and can't tell what exactly is making the noise.
