constant anti lock light
I had the anti lock light on the information panel come on and will not go off. It is a 1989. The fuse for the brakes, guages and instruments is also blowing. I was driving the car, and stopped at a store. When I came back out to crank the car the light came on and stayed on. The system did not ever go into its diagnostic cycle even after putting the car in gear.
Any ideas?

wheel sensor wire is damaged or a sensor. The wires get broken and the sensors get broken by worn out wheel bearings that knock the tip of the sensor off. Dirty sensor rings also cause the ABS lite to come on. Once 'on' its not going to cycle or operate.

it’s funny you say that because on my 87, a buddy pointed out that a bulb in my third brake light was out, however, I didn’t get the “anti lock” light at the time.
