Re: Ok I need "hard as hell" suspension.. (devilfish)
I owned a Datsun 240Z in which I installed a set of Koni Racing shocks.
This was back in the late 70's. I have never riden in another car that gave
the dead-level ride that my 240Z gave in tight turns. But my kidneys paid the price on the street... and in no time, I had more rattles than a snake!
I'm sure they make great shocks for the vette if that is the kind of ride you are looking for! Just an alternative shock to the usual recommendations... http://www.koni.com

The Zo7 package works fine. Front springs i believe were coded 'FSK' ReARS are 'NYU' perhapos u can find soem at the wreckers. Also try the bigger sway bars from the zo7 package. They will help side to side sway. I used the zr1 rear bar (26mm solid) and the 95 z07 front (30mm solid). I also had custom valved shocks made from bilstein with 1.5 inch shorter shafts made ( my car is lowered to the extreme) . Its an extremely stiff ride, but racing at over 260k is like doing 100km/hr =) good luck

'Hard as hell' may not be the answer. Resistance to jounce (initial loading) makes the suspension feel hard but also makes for a very jittery and uncomfortable car. I think what you're asking for is better control of rebound. Where it gets weird is if the shocks absorb jounce and resist rebound enough, the car will actually jack itself down on less than perfect surfaces. Balance is key, if I recall correctly, Bilstein has some decent shocks that should get rid of the 'float'.
