what upgrades to get?
Hey guys new vette owner I have bone stock 87 c4, I'm already set to dump some money into it ha so this is what I was thinking...
*injectors
* intake
* cam
* roller rockers
*tune of some sort
Any other opinions or sugestions? Thanks lots

The first thing I would suggest is a good exhaust system. Does the car have to be smogged? Is there a visual check? If not, get a set of headers like Hedman Elites, and true duals with an x-pipe.
Be careful with muffler selection! Flowmaster 40's will create lots of resonance inside the car. I use DynoMax oval race mufflers on my 87 and they are quiet at cruise speeds but sound very nice at WOT.
The stock injectors will handle initial mods so if they are clean and test OK, leave them. For a good upgrade contact Jon at FIC for some Bosch III's. These are popular with many of us that have the early C4's.
If you are looking at things like intakes, cam and such, I would suggest a rebuild and consider going with a 383 that's ready to install. An intake can be pricey so also consider the stock setup and doing some port matching. You can use 1.6 roller rockers on the exhaust side with stock heads.
There are lots of cam choices out there; is the car an auto or 4+3? Auto trans cars have a Dana D36 and usually a 2.54 rear end ratio; manual trans cars have a stronger Dana 44 and a 3.07 ratio.
The early C4's use a removable PROM so you will have to find somebody that can burn a chip made for the mods you will be doing. Don't bother with the chips like a Hypertech as seen in the various catalogs.
