Default TV cable adjustment with super ram intake help

I installed a super ram intake on my car. I am having problems adjusting the TV cable properly. I know and understand how its supposed to be done. The problem i think is the cable rubs on the sharp edge of the runner. I have the factory bracket bracket that's all I have. I have found info that their is another bracket but I cant find it. I can only get one click from it. I think its from the sharp angle it comes from under the runner and it rubs aginst the bottom of the runner. I don't want to screw up the trans. BTW its a auto.

you're going to have to reroute the cable so its a smooth path to the throttle linkage, and do it without stretching it or pulling the slack out of the sleeve. Gentle curves, no binds as straight and flat as possible. It'll work.

The TV cable geometry is important. The cable has to have the correct amount of travel so that the trans makes pressure when you need it. Here's a lot of info on TV valves and cables (the last page is missing so the link to it doesn't work):

If you're convinced the cable is binding, why not do a little clearancing on the runner. There is another bracket. I happen to have one, but I believe it is made for a Camaro. It did not work with my setup.

Are you having shifting issues? Harsh shifting or lack of downshifting under acceleration would be symptoms of an incorrect adjustment.

Well like I said I only could get one click out of it. I figured it was cause its rubing on the underside of the runner. Its not binding or kinked. I then just manually put it back to whare it was before trying to adjust it. I drove it and it didn't feel right. Tonight I took it out and tried it in all diffrent positions. I know see how it shifts like crap if its not adjusted properly. I then just put it to whare it ended when adjusted per the shop manual. It now is shifting and kicking down how it did before I put the super ram intake on. I did a head and cam swap that's why the super ram is now on it. What iam discribing is kind of hard to understand unless you are famillar with this intake. Thanks for the help. I will have to read that article thanks
