Default heater core 85 c4

my 85 c4 just put a new heather core in it everything isgood no coolant leaks but i am not getting any heat from my heater any ideas?

There is a blend door that is activated by a rod when you switch from hot to cold, the rod has to be disconnected to do the core exchange, did you hook it back up? Check the vacuum line to be sure it is attached also check the heater valve which is just in front of the heater box under the hood. If you did the work, just backtrack what you did. If you had it done by someone, take it back & make them fix it. One more thing, you could have a massive airlock, did you pack the system? Is the engine running normal temps?

engin running norm tomorow gonna get back at it 1st time ive done anything on a car.. got a 85 vet and wanned to try and do some work lol. should have started with something else. gonna try and see if its a airlock 1st then go from there

the rod came off thx alot had the dash almost back 2 gether so that kinda sucked but thx alot 4 the help

lol not done yet i guess being a noob at this my cold to heat wont slide now its stuck on hot and it ant really that hot its hot but not as good as it should do i have to move the rod again .....it seems to be stuck in one poshion

Sounds like you've got manual controls? Where did you re-attach the plastic "tee" on the blend door (threaded) rod?

Did you take care to match the control (slide) with the door movement?

That white plastic clip (that looks like a golf tee) should be positioned fairly close to the outer end of the rod.

lol ya im gonna have 2 match the rod with the slide try that lol here we go again have everything 2 gether already this is gonna be fun little mistake take alot of time lol

thx that was the problem where the rod was lol im done now everything works
