Hello everyone. I have never posted in this section before and have some questions for you. I am wanting to do a turbo or supercharger install on my 95 in the future. I know it is expensive so it will not be happening for years but I would like to know what ya'll think is a better option. Supercharger or turbo ? I have no knowledge about either one so I would appreciate some advice such as the problems you face, what kinda power can the stock motor hold before turning into shrapnel? tranny? power increases, etc. I think 450hp to the ground or a little more would be plenty of fun in the C4. I am not new to wrenches or fast cars but they have always been naturally aspirated. Appreciate any words of wisdom.

superchargeing a c4: more info out there, kits (use blowerworks stuff only, the other kits have flaws).
turbo: lots of custom work, fabing header/down pipes, etc.
stock bottom end is fine despite what all the chicken-little types will say. Be sure you have the proper safeties: overbuilt fuel system (walbro 340 255 l/hr pump in tank w/ racetronix harness at a minimum), big 60 lb injectors, meth/water inj WITH a fail-safe, good tune, etc. However, be aware a single high rpm detonation event (> 4000 rpm) can break ring lands and will require a rebuild. (though Ive heard you can still drive the car with broken ring lands to 'limp home').
Just think, many new cars today (subaru wrx, cadillac CTS-V, etc.) dont have forged pistons either just like a corvette lt1!
