Default Exhaust Question

I have come to terms in realizing my 95 exhaust is just TOO quiet. I am sitting here looking at the TPIS catalog and wondering if I should order the complete exhaust or not. I am looking at the long tube headers and the catback (who needs cats?) and they claim 40hp gain. That would be nice and all but I was wondering if anyone on here has this setup and what their impressions were.

I think you only need cats if you have smog police in your state. Some of the ZR-1 guys swap back to stock headers and cats every two years to pass emissions tests. I have used several products from TPIS with no problems, but they are spendy. Good luck 84 CF 91 ZR-1.

Cut off the rear mufflers and replace them with straight pipes, car will be plenty loud.

:yesnod: :yesnod:     Dump the cats and it'll be louder. Raise your compression to 11.5:1 .. it'll be louder. Make your motor a 383 stroker, it'll be louder.

Want an example, stop by my place   . I'd like headers for the hp increase, but damn.. i don't think I nor the neighbors could take it    :jester
