Air conditioning problem
For some reason my air cond. compressor will come on but the air is still hot when it comes out the vents. The system has plenty of freon in it. Someone told me that in the ductwork somewhere there is a baffle that opens and closes depending on whether or not the heater or air is on and that it was probably stuck in the heater position. Has anyone ever heard of this or can someone give me another explination. It is an 86 model with the digital AC/heater controls.

maybe the electronic climate control is screwed up, you may have to pull it and check the connections.

Not familair with that particular system but check to see if it has a heater valve and that its not stuck open --heater will overpower the a/c every time. If you get a/c with a stone cold engine then this is probably the prob. Other than that the car will have a blend door --be it electric or vacuum operated. Check it for proper operation.
