MY headlights on my 92 when i turn them off the motors keep running for a couple seconds does anyone know what causes this ? ? ? clicking and bumping noises mmmmmmmmmm ? ? ?
probably worn out delron bushings inside. Parts cost is about $0.29 per side for the dowel cut to size, labor time is about 3 hrs first side, 45 min next side.
The bushings are the link that protects the gears from wear. When they get worn out the motor does not know when its hit the bottom of the travel...so it tries to keep running until it finds resistance.
Do a search here...lots of write ups/tips on headlite repair and rebuilding.

I got mine from Eklers. All they need is what year and they are cheap. Like other member said there are tons of info on forum and with pictures that will help alot. Only problem i had was getting left side adjusted. But i got it and they are like new. Dave
