Default Drivers Seat removal

How do I remove the drivers seat from a 1986 vette. I have the Bottom cushion up and there are a bunch of wires and vaccuum hoses. do I need to disconnect the vaccum hose along with the wires. If so what about the hoses and wires that run out the back of the seat? Where do those get disconnected at? pictures or video would be helpful

With the bottom cushion off you should see four bolts 13mm IIRC.

Back those out and see what is attached to the seat frame. IIRC there is one electric connector that will then be obvious. The pump will stay with the seat frame.

Then the rails are left and have to be in the right spot to expose the nuts that hold them on. Your power seat controls should let you raise and move forward to expose the bolts.

If your power controls are inop you can disco the flex shafts from the motor and chuck them in a drill to move the rails to the point that you can remove the rails. Note at first glance the flex shafts in their rubber tubes may just look like vacuum hoses.

ETA I just noticed the model year. Of course if your power seat controls are on the seat there will be an additional connector and you will want to position the rails to expose their nuts before you remove the seat.
