Default What does your c-4 weigh?

Is there a reliable chart that shows the stock weight of the 1995 vert?
I can't believe this weighs more then the hatchback as the top is only about 80 lbs.
and the under support bracket is 15lbs

MY WEIGHT 2940 (!)

Ya Mine is still minus carpet and padding spare tire and AC and other goodness ( top) +plus 75Lbs SC
After seeing this weight I am going to make it less.
The scale this was done on is accurate as well.

It always seems the verts of any car are heavier. There could be some other stiffening that causes more weight. Ya got me.

Good to know. I wasn't aware that truck stops would deal with anything other than trucks. I'm going to look inti this.

heres a chart (for 93) showing the difference to be only 50 lbs.

http://auto.howstuffworks.com/1993-corvette1.htm

I know that 23 lbs of that is the x-brace.

Another post I have, someone claims there is a 160 lbs difference between the 95 coupe and vert.

But I think the numbers are :BS flag

Maybe a 95 coupe with 5 gallons gas vs. a convertible with 20 gallons of gas?

Really, the x-brace is the only 'extra' item on it.

If you have your top off, it'd be interesting for you to 'weigh it'.

I didnt know the decklid weighs 15 lbs. That seems kind of light.

I don't know that I'd be concerned with what everyone other than I weigh. If I were weight conscious I'd scale the car as it is and weigh the additions or deletions I did from then on!

Curb weight is generally considered a "BASE" car full of fluids with 4 - 5 gal of fuel no occupants or luggage.

what is 'lightweight carpet' ???

Are you talking about carpet without the heavy, rubber 'mass backing'?

If so, whered you get it.

I wasnt aware that we could get carpet without the heavy rubber 'mass-backing' ?

Thanks. I never knew what was considered "base" when speaking off curb weight.
