Howdy guys. I've owned my 91 convertivette for about two years now, and as of thirty minutes ago the alarm is going off every two minutes when I lock the doors. It's raining pretty good out, and my top is pretty old. Could rain be effecting my alarm/electrical system? I pulled it in the garage, went inside, and boom it went off again. Any help would be grand.
You will need to check the switches to make sure that they are activating properly. Have you tried to activate the alarm by closing the door and using the key? Sometimes the electric lock system can get weak with age and cause problems with the alarm. If the alarm doesn't go off when you use the key to engage it then there may be a problem in the electric lock system. If it still goes off then you need to check other switches.
Definately look for leaks as this will cause the electrical connections to corrode and short out.

The plastic pop-out door switches (aka door ajar switches), are normally depressed when the door is closed and causes an open circuit. when the door opens, the door switch pops out and closes the circuit, telling the CCM the door is open, and if the alarm was set, telling the alarm to go off as it thinks someone has broken in and openned the door.
This shorting of the door switch could be due to the switch housing being cracked (inside the door) and letting in water, or just too much water getting in through the window seals and it dousing the contacts on the end of the door switch inside the door.
btw, if you wish/decide to replace the door switches, thankfully they can be replaced right through their hole without any door dis-assembly.
