Doesn't the manual say to put adhesive on the c beam whn installed?
I had them n my 90 ZR-1. Makes it a lot easier to put the bolts back in. I am not sure n my 94. It is on my lif, I'll check.
I don't think they do squat for traction but I think they are good to have.

I have heard GM recommends siliconing the c-beam for corrosion purposes. I never did and corrosion wasn't a problem in California.

The actual product that was recommended by GM is/was a urethane caulking that is/was used for windshield installations.
