Hey there... I'm new to the forum. I'm in the process of installing a SBC into an old Porsche 928 using a C4 clutch set-up. Just a quick question for you C4 guys - have you ever seen an offset throw out bearing? I have ordered two of them and they both look the same way. These bearings look like they going to wear against the pressure plate fingers. I can't figure out if they are both defective or if there is some mechanical reason for them to be offset. Both bearings are for C4 corvette. Picture attached with measurements for reference. Theories and opinions welcomed. Thanks, Bill
don't know if this is of help, but as to the pull type clutches used 92 to through 96, the earlier "black tag" ZF trans/ clutch combo's used a throw out bearing with a larger I.D. than the late "blue tag" combo's did; mixups here are common.

The newer throwout bearings are made in china and are sloppy with lots of off axis play in them.
