Opinions, ideas??
I have removed the driver side head and was wanting to know a couple of things. Is there a way to clean the piston heads, do I need to? Do they look ok for 156K miles?

I believe some people use a wire or brass wheel on them.
Of course you will need to stiff rags in to minimize debris in the ring area and then vacuum any out.
I plan to pull my heads late this summer and will clean up the piston tops at that time.
The #1 looks a little crusty; did you run a compression check first?

No I did not. :( But the spark plug did not show any thing on it. The other side is a different story which is why I am doing this. Fouled spark plug ever couple hundred miles. I am hoping I just need to do a valve job. :confused:
