I have a '89 coupe and I'm in the process of cleaning my radiator and condenser area. I have the radiator out now. That part was easy. As I look through the condenser fins I see lots of fine particles stuck in there. My question is how do I clean out between the fins? I don't want to remove the condenser since that requires an A/C teardown. My car is in the garage where I work on it so I can't just hose it out. I've tried compressed air but it doesn't seem to work very well. Since the radiator is out, and the automatic transmission cooling lines are disconnected, I can't drive it into the yard without losing lots of trans. fluid. Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks in advance!
Put the car in neutral, let it coast out, then blast away on the condenser with a pressure washer? You can bolt your radiator back in, refill, burp and button it all down again later. Just a thought.
Connect the trans lines together with a short piece of rubber tubing and gearclamps. Maybe you can do the same thing with the rad hoses, connect them together with a solid wall pipe and gearclamps. Just a thought, it might work.
