Just a quick question for whoever has done it. How had is it to convert the crossfire to a TPI setup while still staying rather cheap or would it just be cheaper to swap the engine for an LT or LS? I would really love to hear from the guys that have done this. Thanks
The mechancals is the easy part, the wiring is the hard part. If I was gonna get rid of the cfi/ecm on my car, I'd go w/ a stand alone efi wiring harness.

I am sure there is a wiring harness out there to do this swap. I also am sure that for a few dollars more a better Engine Management System can be had.

TPI is a lot of work and $$ to end up power wise where you would have with a ported stock intake and a little tuning. IF you decide to go through the effort to swap to a different style intake, please choose an intake system that provides you with better power potential than the CFI system can offer.
Ive found a few stand alone systems out there but no wiring harness as of yet. It just seems to be a hard engine system to figure out for me. I understand the fuel injection more than anything plus there are more aftermarket parts for it. Just tossing around some ideas for now.
Its very easy to do plus they're are no major wiring changes to do, no need to change your wiring harness. The key is the ecm from dynamicefi. As far as intakes don't waste your time with TPI.
not certain why you would want to spend the time and money for little or no gain ..... If you're looking to improve performance, save your nickels for an upgrade cam and heads ..... that alone will livin up your motor a bit .... after some intake work as discussed in the other tread that is ......
and of course not knowing for certain what you're exactly looking for, we're all kinda shootin in the dark .....
just a couple of cents worth .....
I did the conversion on my 84 a few years back with a speed density painless harness and computer. The real pain came when I had to change out the serpentine drive system out to the tpi motor type because the belt on a cross fire drive sysyem runs right across the throttle body.

I would go from CFI to MiniRam. Do the hot cam set up with better heads.
